Cliff Rappel and Rope Ascend
Rappelling down a cliff to experience the thrill, the mental challenge of managing fear, and the reward of a panoramic view of Milton and part of the Greater Toronto Area, or of Squamish in British Columbia. Ascending a rope up a cliff to experience the demanding physical labour that enables you to reach new heights one step at a time. This one-day course is for those who seek to master rappelling and ascending skills to achieve specific goals. You will learn effective rappelling and ascending techniques that are transferrable to advanced rock climbing, improvised self rescue, mountaineering, fire rescue, high angle rescue, caving and canyoneering.
Experienced climbers and mountaineers need these skills to rappel and ascend rope independently. Such self-sufficiency aids a quick descent and ascend when demanded by situations such as looming thunderstorm. Candidates for certain professions such as firefighter, military, high ropes course instructors may use these skills in their careers.

Pre-requisites: Being able to walk up a flight of stairs independently.
Duration: 8 hours in one day (6 hours when the course has only one participant that day).
Location in Ontario: Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area, 7200 Appleby Line, Milton, Ontario
Location in British Columbia: Smoke Bluffs Park, 38551 Loggers Ln, Squamish, British Columbia
Fees: $415/person + tax (HST in Ontario; GST in British Columbia).
Group Registration Discount:
- $300/person, for 2-3 people
- $245/person, for 4-6 people
Private Rate: add $300 to make your individual or group session private.

Booking Conditions:
All participants are required to read, understand and sign this waiver of liability. Those under the age of 18 years must have a parent or legal guardian co-sign their waiver. Those under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The minimum age to rappel is 9.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation must be made 15 days prior to the start of the program in order to receive a 50% refund. Otherwise, no refund will be issued. You may transfer your reservation to another person within one week of the program (course or camp) start date. If you cannot attend your session due to unexpected injury or other unforeseen incidents, you can reschedule your session within 12 months. The administrative cost for such transfer or rescheduling is $45/person.
Nature tests us and nurtures us. Zen Climb may at its sole discretion reschedule or cancel a booked program due to extreme risky weather conditions or other factors justifiable by Zen Climb. In the event of such a cancellation, we will notify you the cancellation the day before the start of the program. You may reschedule and attend the same or similar course/program within six months or receive a 50% refund. If you did not receive a cancellation call from us, assume the program will run as scheduled.
